We are delighted to hold a large number of weddings each year in our Benefice, particularly at our churches in Castor or Marholm.  There are legal rules which govern where it is possible for couples to be married in a church and we welcome couples who fulfil these criteria to marry in any of our beautiful churches.

For information about the rules governing marriage in churches please visit the Church of England marriage website at and click on the heading “Finding a Church”.  You can also find lots of other information about planning a church wedding on this website.

Each year we hold a Wedding Preparation Day in February (Saturday 15th February 2020) for all couples who have booked marriage services within our Benefice.  Following on from this we support couples in the planning of their service and can offer advice on the order of service, hymns, readings and music.

For weddings taking place at Castor Church it is possible to have our famous bells rung and a choir.  We can offer an organist to play at marriage services in any of our churches, however you may wish to make alternative arrangements for music.

For weddings taking place at St Kyneburgha Church, Castor the Cedar Centre is an ideal venue for an intimate wedding reception or to serve refreshments to guests whilst photographs are taken.
